Ph.D. Program Description

Ph.D. program for students having M.Sc. degree

In order to start the Industrial and Systems Engineering Ph.D. program students are required to complete MATH 281, ISE 222, ISE 302, ISE 352 and ISE 361 courses in the scientific preparation programme partially or fully.

In order to complete the Industrial and Systems Engineering Ph.D. program students are required to:

  • take three compulsory courses (ESYE 501, ESYE 505, ESYE 603), ESYE 690, ESYE 691
  • seminar course and four elective courses
  • pass qualification exam
  • defend Ph.D. thesis

Ph.D. program for students having undergraduate degree

In order to start the Industrial and Systems Engineering Ph.D. program students are required to complete MATH 281, ISE 222, ISE 302, ISE 352 and ISE 361 courses in the scientific preparation programme partially or fully.

In order to complete the Industrial and Systems Engineering Ph.D. program students having undergraduate degree are required to:

  • take the four compulsory courses of ESYE 501, ESYE 505, ESYE 522 (or ESYE 552) and ESYE 603; two seminar courses of ESYE 590, ESYE 690 and ESYE 691; and 10 elective courses
  • pass qualification exam
  • defend Ph.D. thesis
