In this research, we focus on a variant of the classical vehicle routing problem which incorporates synchronization constraints of transhipment and split loads (VRPTS). Synchronization is an emerging field in routing research and it has become more critical due to increasing demand for logistics efficiency. For the solution of VRPTS, we propose a matheuristic solution method that combines mathematical programming with a heuristic approach. With the proposed approach, we aim to obtain near-optimal solutions for large instances.
